A million-dollar question. Do we want to have the system
postgress-only, or, as an opposite, we want to have something very
portable? The first choice leads to use everything server can do,
including Postgres-only extensions (like inheritance, for instance).
The second choice makes us to use only the technologies common for
several SQL servers (Oracle,Informix,MSSQL,mySQL).
